
Just last week, my parents and I set aside the regularity of life to collapse into the beauty that Bali has to offer. We spend a great amount of time outside (in a mini van), and saw some pretty amazing things. However, the detachment we have experienced and enjoyed is probably our greatest takeaway. There's just something about leaving everything behind and being confronted by silence for awhile. In our everyday lives, I feel like we're able to dictate and have a fair amount of control over what happens on day-to-day basis. Here in Bali, It's an awesome shift to be outside, disconnected and be at the mercy of Mother Nature. It's a breath of fresh air to let go and let live. The photos below (and in the upcoming few posts) are some of my favorite scenes of how life unfolded between arrival and departure. A simple documentation of what I have seen and grew to love in a span of 5 days. Enjoy (:
